Flying with SAS for People with Limited Mobility

Hello everyone! I had an incredible time flying with SAS (Scandinavian Airlines) from Miami to Copenhagen, and I couldn't wait to share my experience with you all! Traveling with my daughter, Isabella, who has limited mobility, can be challenging, but SAS made it a fun and stress-free journey for us!

First of all, let me tell you, SAS is the flag carrier of Denmark, Norway, and Sweden, so you know you're in good hands if you're headed to any of those awesome places. We flew on a Boeing 747-400, which is one of the largest planes in the world, and it was super spacious and comfy. The seats were cozy, and the long 9-hour flight just flew by!

One of the things I loved the most about SAS was their top-notch customer service. The flight attendants were incredibly friendly, professional, and attentive to our needs, which made us feel extra special.  But the best thing that we were impressed by its that they had a handicapped bathroom on the plane! This was the first for us.

But now, onto the fun stuff! Did you know that SAS has a long history of supporting Scandinavian design? They've collaborated with designers like Arne Jacobsen, Fritz Hansen, and Louis Poulsen to create stylish and functional cabin interiors. The cabin on our flight was super cool, with sleek Scandinavian design elements throughout.  And get this, guys: SAS was the first airline ever to introduce a frequent flyer program way back in 1982, called EuroBonus, which they still use today. Pretty cool, huh?

Alright, let's discuss some deals! I'm always on the lookout for travel specials, especially around the holiday season. And let me tell you, SAS does not disappoint when it comes to offering fare specials throughout the year. I was able to snag a roundtrip ticket on SAS Plus, their premium economy class, for just $652.27. That's a total steal, especially during the busy and pricey holiday season. Plus, it allowed me and my fam to travel in style and comfort without breaking the bank.  If you're interested in finding similar fare specials and making the most of your travel budget, make sure to check out Thrifty Traveler's website at www.thriftytraveler.com. Their expert team curates incredible deals that can help you travel in style without straining your finances.

But here's the best part - SAS also offers a bidding option for upgrades closer to your travel date. I was able to upgrade Bella, dad, and myself to SAS Business for $550 each ( inbound), which allowed us to relax, lay down, and sleep throughout most of the journey. This was especially helpful for Bella, who had been very active throughout the trip and needed some extra R&R to help her manage her pain. The bidding option is such a cool way to get an upgrade without paying the full price, and it definitely made our trip even more special.

Flying with SAS

Overall, I had an absolutely amazing time flying with SAS from Miami to Copenhagen, and I highly recommend it to anyone planning a trip to Scandinavia. SAS Plus is a fantastic way to get a luxurious and comfortable travel experience without the high price tag of business class. And for travelers with limited mobility and disabilities, SAS provides extra benefits that make the journey even more enjoyable. So keep an eye out for those fare specials, book in advance, and get ready for an awesome flight with SAS!
